Games

Video games have been a big part of my life. A childhood that included enjoying (and beating) E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Core memories of playing console games with neighborhood friends. A birthday party overshadowed by the discovery of Street Fighter II: The World Warrior.

Over the years I've written a small number of games, dating back to high school on a TI-85 calculator. Sadly, many of my games have aged out of their respective mobile app stores. More recently, I've been boss fighting LLMs to indulge my game designer fantasies and utilize the domains I've amassed over the years.

Porksicle

the Porksicle logo, a frozen pig head on a stick

One part nostalgia for simple single player games, one part figuring out if I can build a system to autonomously run a game company. Over 100 little games, of varying degrees of fun and functionality.

I somehow managed to snag this domain a while back. I always imagined making a snake-like game, but super slow. That never quite felt right, so I went in a more .IO game direction with things. Network play in the future, maybe.

Age of Combat

Having font memories of playing the pre-MMORG Warcraft games, I wanted to recreate that retro RTS look and feel. Didn't help that I've had this domain for a while that seemed like a good fit.

Flip Flop Frenzy

Arcade action based on the real-life flip flop thwacking antics that take place in my home. Heavily inspired by Easter egg minigame from Mario Paint.

I invest way too much time in incremental clicker games. I don't mind K-Pop music (but like K-BBQ more). Most importantly, I love a good pun.

Know the Table

The Know the Table game-select screen

Casino trainer that I built for my daughter so she could learn the ropes rather than having her guy friends teach her how to relinquish her purse. Mathematically-backed, everything explained, no real money at stake.

River of DOOM!!!

It's just you and your kayak versus the worst mother nature has to offer in this "tunnel" game inspired by SkiFree. Directions courtesy of my (at the time) 3-year-old daughter, "You don't want to get the boat in the grass." Also be weary of rocks, crocs and blinding fireflies!

More to come...

I actually have a few games from iOS and Android that I'm hoping to either open source, or resurrect in the future.
