Yoga Pants and Your Camel Toe… it’s just not SFW!
Hello, it’s thatgirljen, aka the wife, just taking over joshtronic.com
once again.
Love is in the air. Happy [belated] Valentine’s Day.
Now, I might have been the master-mind behind the boob post, so for
those who are not personally acquainted with me, I think I happen to have a
pretty decent sense of humor, coupled with a fairly reasonable outlook on life.
Today, I have a PSA, which may be more like a rant, and well, Josh did say I
could write about whatever I wanted to on my guest post. So-o… This month’s
topic might be a little risqué.
OK ladies, (and gentlemen) – yoga pants.
While they’re super comfy, and basically sold as “one size fits most”, yoga
pants are NOT work attire. I know, I know, a shocking truth has just been
revealed!
That being said, yoga pants and the like, unless you’re working out, doing yoga
somewhere amazing on a beach or rooftop, or you’re in the comfort of your home, chilling on the sofa watching a movie, playing Diablo III or Minecraft or maybe during that time of the month while you’re visiting with your favorite Aunt Florence, should NOT be worn to work.
Am I guilty of this faux pas? While I don’t have a traditional job, I’m a
housewife; I do have things to do and places to go. Truth be told, heck yeah,
I’ve left the house while wearing a sweet pair of buttery soft leggings, (some
of my favorites can be purchased on Amazon way less expensive than the
LuLaRoe) and made my rounds running errands around ATX.
However, I’m fairly modest mom, and pair my leggings with a long tunic style
shirt- making sure to cover my bum and nether region. I’m a married woman, got a ring on my finger; I’m not trying to show off the goods or get free drinks!
That’s right, leave all that to the imagination. TYVM 😛
Lately, I’ve seen girls (ladies, women, females) – heading into their 9-5
wearing leggings or yoga style “pants” and I honestly don’t get it. Most of the
time, it’s women that are in lesser shape that are donning such things. Not all
of us have the tight little bodies of our 22 year old self.
Those were the days! AMIRIGHT?
I guess what I’m really trying to get at is: yoga pants aren’t business
casual. No one should see your “business” at your place of employment.
So please… everyone, keep your lady parts/cameltoe and naughty bits to
yourself. Especially the glaringly obvious ones. You know who you are!
