Recovering from Oral Surgery

My factory settings failed to include premolars #20 and #29. Decades after my baby teeth fell out, I decided to fill these gaps with robot teeth. I opted to have both implants done at once, with only local anesthesia.

This all went down this morning, and I can now say that I've officially had a hex key used on me like I'm a piece of Ikea furniture.

Thus far, I've been fortunate enough to stay ahead of the pain without the need for narcotics. Ice packs and a steady diet of ibuprofen and acetaminophen have been my best pals.

Puppy Bowl 2025

With our dog Chip finally all grown up and seemingly out of his puppy phase, the only logical thing to do was get a new puppy. We opted for yet another black pug, just like the first dog Thumper, we adopted some twenty odd years ago.

Watch Out World, I'm Grown Now

Our only child not only became an adult, but survived high school. She's doing her best to try to figure it all out, like we all do at that age. I've already told her that if she can figure it out, let me know, cause I'm still trying to get there.

Leaning Into Agentic Coding

The robots are coming for our jobs - hide your mice, hide your keyboards. While many of my peers are trying to defend their roles, I decided to just give in.

Things aren't perfect, but I figure if I start acting like the future is now, when the technology inevitably catches up, I'll have already put in the reps.

I plan to focus a lot more of my blog content on this journey.

VPS Showdown

Part of my agentic coding journey has been to take my "VPS Showdown" posts, and turn them into a standalone website. It's been something I've been kicking around for a while, and it seemed like a really good way to see if I could go from idea to live site with the help of AI.
