Blogging from your phone

Why an I blogging from my phone? Well it’s been a very busy weekend and I wanted
to give this a shot.

It’s amazing that we have the technology to be able to do what I am doing right
now. My rig consists of a Nexus 5 running the latest version of Android
(Lollipop), Evernote for my editor and the ability to sync to my desktop, and I
am making heavy use of the swipe capabilities of the stock Android keyboard.

It’s a far cry from my usual stack of iTerm2 and vim. The truth is that I will
ultimately end up editing this on a computer before it goes live because GitHub
doesn’t have a way to add new files from the web or the app I have installed,
that I’m aware of at least.

The post itself was started from my seat at at the Straz Center before
the usher yelled at everyone to turn off their phones before The Nutcracker
performance. Then a bit was done outside at the coffee shop while my wife
was procuring tickets for an upcoming dance thing in January. The rest was done
while waiting on our food at Cristino’s Coal Oven Pizza, much to my
wife’s chagrin.

It’s definitely not the most ideal setup but it can definitely work in a pinch.
If I had to guess this method will definitely bring out the brevity in me, which
is probably for the best 😉

That all being said, I’m going to cut this short because we just had some
friends show up and I’m not that much of an anti-social asshole to continue on.
